Leave your private health insurance card at home! You can now use your iPhone or Apple Watch.

Four of the major private health insurance companies now have the capacity to pay with Apple Pay.

These companies are:

• NIB
  

• BUPA
  

• Medibank
  

• GU Health
  

HBF will be added to the list sometime soon too.

How to Set Up Private Health Insurance on your iPhone

If you already have the app for your insurance company, open the app and you’ll be promoted to add your card to your digital wallet. Easy!

Can I use Apple Pay for Telehealth

Not yet. We are in the process of setting up a way to take payments from a SMS to your mobile for Telehealth appointments. These will require you to take action within 15 minutes of receiving the SMS.

Stay tuned- this should be set up in the next month and we are hopeful that you’ll then be able to use your Apple Pay to automatically enter in your private health and bank card details.
